EastEnders’ Heather Trott star Cheryl Fergison shares snap of rarely seen son

Former EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison has shared a rare photo of her son on Instagram.

The actress, who recently revealed she’d bagged her first television role in six years, posted the snap on her social media account of the pair during a festive trip to London.

It was simply captioned "London town" and shows the two posing in front of a sign in Leicester Square.

Cheryl, 56, doesn’t often post about her family life, so the sweet snap is an out of the ordinary glimpse into her relationship with son, Alex.

22 year old Alex Javed Siddiqi is Cheryl’s only son with her first husband Jamshed Siddiqi, who she was married to from 2000 to 2008.

She went on to marry Yassine Al-Jermoni in 2011 after they met in an online chatroom.

Cheryl recently posted on Instagram about the new year and what it had in store.

She wrote: "Visualising all the good things that will make this the perfect year in my work , with my family , in my health and to finally have a secure financial future … if I visualise they are here then all I have to do is to work at them all to the best of my ability …getting rid of the things I don’t need and concentrating on the things that I do need remains my goals and this is mainly what keeps me happy , focused and loved.

"Strength is from within and from all the challenges I have been given so far … many would crumble and fall but in my world giving up is not an option and remembering where it all started is my grounding … may work come in abundance so that I may continue to be humbled in my profession.

"I write these thoughts and re read them when I stumble to allow myself time to breath and to remind myself it’s all ok . Remember kindness brings a smile and makes a permanent mark in someone’s heart."

Cheryl found fame in 2007,starring as unlucky in love Heather Trott in EastEnders. However, her character was eventually killed off in 2012, after a blow to the head with a picture frame from Ben Mitchell.
