EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley kisses partner in rare snaps on eighth anniversary

Eastenders’ Lorraine Stanley looked more loved up than ever kissing partner Mark Perez in a sweet photo uploaded to Instagram on Tuesday.

The happy couple just celebrated their eighth anniversary and Lorraine marked the occasion by posting a series of snaps of the pair enjoying some quality time together with the caption:

“Happy Anniversary bubs…8 years and still going strong, we love you forever!! Thank you for being such a wonderful Daddy and a beautiful person inside and out, you’re our world, love you to bits xxxx.”

While Lorraine – who plays Karen Taylor on Eastenders – shares six-year-old daughter Nancy with Mark in real life, onscreen she is mum to Bernadette Taylor, played by Clair Norris, who left a comment after Lorraine's loving post.

"Happy Anniversary to you both,” she wrote, adding a love heart emoji.

"My brother. Love you both,” fellow EastEnders’ actor Max Bowden offered some affectionate words also.

Lorraine’s tribute post to her partner Mark comes after the pair visited her family in Portsmouth over the holidays and enjoyed some drinks, shown in one photo posted by the actress of the group smiling together inside an eating establishment.

The 45-year-old was also able to catch some sun as she travelled to Tenerife last month for a short winter break, sharing with her 152,000 followers a shot of her relaxing by the pool under a sweltering blue sky.

Lorraine caught attention from fans towards the end of last year after she was pictured making a glamorous appearance on a night out with friends – atypical of the looks of her dishevelled character depicted on Eastenders.

The soap star wore her blonde hair down in waves and sported a chic black printed blouse, prompting followers to leave praising compliments in her comment section.

Lorraine previously discussed the unkept appearance of her onscreen persona on Eastenders, stating that she felt she looked “awful” on the BBC series.

"I don’t wear a scrap of make-up, not even foundation. It’s probably really good for my skin. I do the bun myself and I’m good to go,” she said.

"I pushed for the bra straps on show and the very tight-fitting stuff when I first joined. She’s a big woman who shows her curves. I cover mine but Karen couldn’t care less.

"Plus, I’ve never played glamorous roles on telly so I’m used to seeing myself and thinking, ‘oh my God you look awful.’”

Lorraine admitted that she feels so appalled by her appearance on the soap, she occasionally stops her partner Mark from watching her onscreen, saying:

“If my fella is sat next to me and he has Eastenders on I’ll say, “Don’t look at me on screen.” He knows I’m a sort in real life though."
