Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh and EastEnders’ Toby Alexander Smith enjoy sunny stroll with baby

Soap stars Amy Walsh and Toby Alexander Smith spent a day in the sunshine after welcoming their daughter together last year.

Amy, 34, who plays Tracy Metcalfe in Emmerdale, met Toby, 31, who plays EastEnders villain Gray Atkins, met on the set of Strictly Come Dancing two years ago and romance soon blossomed, with the couple welcoming their first child together – a daughter called Bonnie – last December.

The couple looked happy as they walked along together with their little one in the pram and enjoyed the sunshine on their family day out.

Amy wore a long red floral dress, which she paired with white flip flops and a hair band. She wore her blonde hair tied back and completed her look with a pair of dark sunglasses as the couple took turns pushing the pram.

Toby opted for a casual look of dark denim shorts and a black T-shirt, as well as a pair of bright white trainers and sunglasses.

Soap stars Amy and Toby took it in turns to push the pram their beloved daughter was placed in as they walked together – soaking up the sunshine and quality time as a family of three.

The couple recently opened up about their experiences as new parents and how it has changed their relationship, with Toby saying he thought their new arrival had brought them closer together.

Speaking to OK!, he shared: “We’ve always been a really good team anyway and I think Bonnie coming along has shown that we’re meant to be parents together, because we’re finding our roles.”

Amy, whose sister is Girls Aloud star Kimberly Walsh, also revealed how she worried about how she’d find being a new mum – but that she’s found the experience “more enjoyable” than she’d thought it might be.

She explained in our exclusive interview: “I thought I might struggle more. I’ve got seven nephews but when I got pregnant I panicked a little bit that I wouldn’t find it as easy as I always thought.

"I went through a few months of thinking, “Can I do this?” When you’re pregnant, you get so tired you worry how you’re going to have the energy to look after a baby.

“But now my needs don’t even occur to me. I’ve always had the love of my nephews, which has been so strong, but I’ve never experienced this, which is even stronger.

"So it’s been a nice, pleasant surprise how right it feels. It’s not easy at all – but this early stage has been so enjoyable.”

Amy and her sisters – Girls Aloud’s Kimberly as well as older sister Sally – recently opened up on how all of them becoming mums has brought them closer together.

Kimberly, 40, has three sons; Bobby, seven, Cole, five, and eight month old Nate, while her older sister Sally, 44, is mum to four boys herself.

Speaking exclusively to OK! about her relationship with her siblings, Kimberley said: "We're a very close family. We're friends before we are siblings, we do most of our stuff together.

"But it's a new chapter to share moving forward with Amy now, that's going to be lovely.”

"For me and Sally, there are seven boys between us and some of them are a year apart – there's a month difference between two – so we have definitely shared a lot with each other and bonded over that."

Toby is best known for playing Gray Atkins on EastEnders after joining the series in 2019, although he departed the square in March this year after Gray was finally caught for the murder of his wife Chantelle.

Amy, meanwhile, has been playing Tracy Metcalfe on Emmerdale since 2014.
