Everything We Know About Season 3 of Who Killed Sara?<\/em>

Netflix’s latest hit series Who Killed Sara? has many of us in knots. The ten-episode series premiered on March 24 and quickly became the streaming service’s No.1 show—and with good reason. Who Killed Sara? explored infidelity, betrayal, and murder at the hands of a single, powerful crime family: the Lazcanos.

The Mexican crime drama follows the murder of Sara Guzmán, a young girl involved with the Lazcanos who was killed in a parasailing accident. Her brother, Alex Guzmán, takes the fall for her murder under false pretenses. Sixteen years later, Alex is released from prison and is on the hunt for the Lazacanos. While the plot is seemingly clear from the start, things become muddier, leaving everyone wondering: who actually killed Sara?

In Netflix’s typical fashion, the season finale leaves fans with more questions than answers. The suspect pool is getting bigger and bigger, secrets are still unburied, and trust is damn near non-existent. With Season 2 dropping on May 19, fans are wondering what’s in store for this murder mystery beyond 2021.

Here’s what we know about season 3 of Who Killed Sara?:

When is Season 3 of Who Killed Sara coming to Netflix?

Netflix hasn’t dropped too many hints about the fate of the series with Season 2 on the way…but we have reason to believe Season 3 is likely to materialize. Season 2 was green-lit just five days after Season 1 dropped. The series was also named Netflix’s most successful foreign language series in the U.S. In short, Season 3’s a no-brainer and most likely a 2022 release.

What will happen in Season 3?

Well, we don’t know for certain with Season 2 still on the horizon, but things are quickly becoming a mess for the Lazcanos. The Season 2 trailer documents Alex digging more into his sister’s history, even finding a skull in the backyard of their house. Clara, Chema’s surrogate, and Marifer, Sara’s former best friend, are working together. For what? Another mystery still unsolved. But the most jarring reveal is Elisa’s kidnapping. So many questions: who kidnapped her? Is she still alive? Is her kidnapping related to the sex trafficking ring? We hope these unanswered questions (and more) will be solved when Season 2 drops on May 19.
