Gemma Collins shows off glowing complexion as she goes makeup free for brunch

Gemma Collins appeared fresh-faced as she displayed her makeup free complexion at an event, after the star received praise for her recent self-harm documentary.

The former TOWIE star, 41, wore a black jumper with frilled sleeves and leggings as she attended a wellness brunch on Wednesday with former Hollyoaks actress Davinia Taylor and other celebs.

Gemma arrived at the event with a pair of dark, oversized sunglasses but soon took them off to reveal a make-up free look.

Although she's often known for her glamorous makeup looks, Gemma showcased her natural beauty as she dressed down for the brunch event.

The star completed her look with a statement blue Chanel handbag and added a pop of colour with a pink manicure.

It comes after the star received praise for her emotional Channel 4 documentary, Gemma Collins: Self-Harm and Me, which explored the star’s 20 year struggle with self-harm.

During the hard-hitting documentary, Gemma opened up about her fears that the urge to self-harm might return and make her an "unfit mother".

While the Celebrity Big Brother star also confronted her mum Joan as she asked why she didn't address her self-harming when she was younger.

Taking to Twitter after the documentary aired, viewers were quick to praise Gemma for being so brave and pointed out how it would raise awareness of self-harm.

During the documentary, Gemma emotionally spoke about her fears on how her self-harm could impact her as a mum.

She explained: "Because I now want to go on and have a family and stuff, I suppose there’s that part of me… because you hear about people having postnatal depression and all these things. I don’t ever want it to come back. It’s scary. It’s very, very scary."

During a conversation with fiancé Rami Hawash, the reality star broke down in tears as she added: "In the back of my mind, because obviously we do want to go on to have a baby and stuff.

"I feel very happy with you and very settled with you, but always in the back of my mind, you think: 'Oh s**t, is it going to come back?!'"

Elsewhere in the documentary, Gemma recalled the moment her and Rami met.

Gemma, who recently told new! she's "desperate" to have a baby with fiancé Rami, revealed that they first met at a pub in Chigwell, Essex.

She explained: "This is my fiancé. We met in the King Will [pub] in Chigwell. My heart was beating. I was like: 'No-one ever this good looking has spoken to me.'

"We got engaged ten years ago, but I wasn't ready. And then we bumped into each other at a Madonna concert ten years later at the Palladium. In Madonna, he started touching my back and I was like: 'Ooh, he’s still got feelings for me!'"

Later in the documentary, again reflecting on how they reunited after a decade apart, Gemma said: "I first started dated Rami when I’d just gone on to TOWIE ten years ago. We split up but we ended up getting back together about a year ago."
