Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, 31, has imagined the sweet way she would pay tribute to boyfriend Scott Dobinson if he died. In the special series finale episode of the Scarlett Moffatt Wants to Believe podcast, the couple discussed a tragic love story that may have resonated with many of their listeners.

The pair discussed the purported story behind the voice of the emblematic London Underground automated messages.

Scarlett explained: “If you’ve ever been on the Tube in London, there’s this announcement that goes, ‘Please, mind the gap.’

“And for some reason it always makes us laugh…”

She continued: “Well, the guy who voiced that in 1950 – he unfortunately passed away – and his wife sometimes goes to the Tube and sits on a bench just to listen to her husband’s voice.”

Scott added: “Because they changed and then she got really upset and went to some of the Underground employees.

“And they told her there’s only one station in London where they changed it back.

“It’s her local station and it’s still her husband and they won’t change it.”

Scarlett gushed: “That’s so cute, isn’t it?”

Scott agreed: “I think that’s nice, yeah.”

The heartwarming story made Scarlett theorise on how she would pay tribute to Scott in a similar way if he died.

She confessed: “I think if you ever passed away I’d listen to all the episodes of this podcast.”

Scott joked: “Someone’s got to keep the listeners coming in…”

The Gogglebox star added: “It’s just going to be me, isn’t it?”

But she immediately pointed out that she hoped Scott did not die any time soon.

She said: “I mean, I hope you just don’t pass away, but if you do. Do you know what I mean?”

Scarlett, rose to fame on Gogglebox in 2014, has just returned to the UK after a sunny holiday with Scott.

The couple enjoyed a relaxing break in Dubai while keeping fans updated on social media.

Sharing a series of pictures from her vacation, Scarlett wrote: “When people go to Dubai normally their pics are so instagrammy & they look sexy. (sic)

“We didn’t worry whether our photos looked like we had a good time, we just had a good b***** time.

“Here’s how our pics turned out.”
