Helen Flanagan is ‘normal and happy’ as she embraces motherhood after split

She split from her fiancé Scott Sinclair earlier this year and Helen Flanagan is coping well with life as a single mum of three.

Actress Helen’s close pal and former Coronation Street co-star Lucy Fallon told OK!: “She’s good, she seems normal and happy.”

Lucy – who played Bethany Platt in the soap for five years – continued: “I recently filmed Pointless with her, so we were in London together. I’ve never known somebody who’s… obsessed is the wrong word, but she just loves those kids.

“Everything she does is for her children. And you can really tell, with the way she speaks about everything.”

In October, Helen, – who shares children Matilda, seven, Delilah, four and Charlie, two with Scott – was spotted at the Pride of Britain awards without her diamond engagement ring.

Weeks earlier, sources close to Helen revealed how she had ended things with footballer Scott, 33, following a solo work trip to South Africa to film I’m A Celebrity All Stars.

They said, “Helen has removed her engagement ring and told those close to her that she is single and no longer with Scott.

“They hit a rough patch in the summer after Helen came back from South Africa, and it ended for good.”

The pair’s 13-year-relationship had its fair share of ups and downs since they first met in 2009.

Scott and Helen welcomed their first child in 2015 – daughter Matilda, but the two were left to navigate parenting around their tricky schedules.

In 2017, Helen revealed she’d see Scott just on weekends, when her and Matilda travelled from Manchester to Glasgow, where Scott was based for work. She said: “It’s not easy [but] I’m supportive of his career and he’s supportive of mine.”

Helen then moved to Glasgow and the pair got engaged in Paris 2018 and welcomed daughter Delilah the same year.

After Covid restrictions delayed their wedding plans, the couple – who welcomed their third child, son Charlie last year – were set to marry in 2024.

Helen revealed earlier this year that the two had found their dream wedding destination. She said: “I have set a date. I'm so picky. I finally found my wedding venue. I don't want to give it away, but basically everybody wants this venue.

“I think what it is as well as me and Scott have been together for so long. We've been together for 13 years now. I've been with Scott since I've was 19, I'm 32 now, so I think we are probably a little bit laid back because it does feel like a marriage anyway."
