Lil Nas X Joins Anderson .Paak At Boston Calling

Anderson .Paak surprised fans at Boston Calling this past weekend by bringing on stage upcoming country-rapper Lil Nas X.

Lil Nas X, fresh off the release of his brand new Wrangler collaboration, performed “Old Town Road.”

“Old Town Road” is currently atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the seventh consecutive week. The song also broke the record for highest number of streams in one week previously held by Drake‘s “In My Feelings.”

His first ever live show was at Stagecoach Festival with Billy Ray Cyrus in Indio, California. He also has a few festival shows coming up this summer.

Billboard created an uproar after it removed “Old Town Road” from its country music charts.

“While ‘Old Town Road’ incorporates references to country and cowboy imagery, it does not embrace enough elements of today’s country music to chart in its current version,” they said.

The Boston Calling festival was scheduled during Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26, at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, Massachusetts.

A-listers who performed at the festival include Twenty One Pilots, Travis Scott, Tame Impala, Michael Che, Odesza, Logic, Greta Van Fleet, Hozier, Brandi Carlile, Lord Huron and Sheck Wes.
