‘Little Women: LA’s Christy Gibel Writing Tell-All Book Amid Annulment
Christy Gibel has accused her estranged husband Todd of domestic violence, using her for her money and more in their nasty annulment and restraining order. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the Little Women: LA star will be telling all in an upcoming memoir.
“She’s busy writing a book,” a source close to the reality star told Radar. “It’s about her life.”
Gibel, 41, is also keeping her mind off her bitter split by working on an upcoming lingerie line.
She’s even getting serious with her new boyfriend, Gonzo. The two took a trip the Little People of America Conference in San Francisco the last week of June.
“Gonzo hopes the annulment is finalized soon,” the source said. “They’ve known each other for a long time. They’ve always been really good friends. They never intended it to turn into something romantic, but in helping her through the hardship, abuse and disaster Todd put her through, it did.”
The insider added, “The truth will come out.”
And it is, as Christy detailed her alleged marriage from hell in a bombshell Domestic Violence Protection Order on May 8, 2019.
Christy exposed Todd’s alleged “volatile temper” in the declaration.
“On or about April 18, 2019, I told respondent that our marriage was not working, and we should figure out our next steps,” she claimed. “I mentioned that I was concerned for his wellbeing and asked him repeatedly to seek help – this was a common occurrence during our marriage. Respondent began to yell and threaten me. Even as far as to throw/break household items.”
She added that he ripped up their mail.
“He has made derogatory remarks everyday about me, my makeup, cooking, weight and dyslexia,” she alleged. “He has blackmailed me on numerous occasions to manipulate me into staying with him, he beats on my bedroom door late at night while I am sleeping, he has tried to barricade me out of our home several times.”
She then detailed an alleged incident that took place 4th of July weekend in 2015 during a trip to San Diego with her daughter Autumn, 19, from a previous relationship.
“Respondent took medication that was prescribed for me for pain in my neck,” she said. “He then became violent. He started slapping me and holding me down, so I could not move.”
Her daughter contacted security.
“I am fearful of respondent and afraid what he will do if I am not granted protection,” she wrote. “Respondent has mentioned that he is depressed and working with a therapist. His mental state makes him unpredictable.”
The restraining order was extended until July 9, 2019.
On June 21, Christy filed for nullity without minor children.
In documents obtained by The Blast, Christy accused her estranged husband of using her for fame.
She claimed Todd “knew the effect this show would have on the little people community and intended on riding my celebrity status, and defrauding me out of money.”
She claimed he was unemployed during their nearly 5-year marriage.
Christy alleged they “never had sexual intercourse once” and slept in separate bedrooms for most of the relationship.
She also accused Todd of applying for unemployment compensation under her name and using the funds without her knowing. She accused him of destroying her tax information as well.
