Louise Thompson has announced she would like two children with her fiancé Ryan Libbey.

The 30 year old star, who was recently accused of fleeing Tier 4 restrictions to spend Christmas in Devon, made the revelation during an exclusive chat with OK! online about all things dogs, including pet insurance with Petplan, what research to do and advice to new puppy parents.

Explaining that prospective dog owners must do their research before fostering, adopting or buying a furry pet, the star explained that one of the top reasons she and Ryan share two Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's – Toto and Koji – is because they're good with children.

"I think you should always research the breed you want to get," she started. "I think King Cavelier's are pretty docile, very well natured, very soft.

"They're good with children and that's something we're considering. I would actually love to have two children."

When asked if she would want a boy and a girl, she replied: "That would be lovely! Or twins…"

The former Made In Chelsea star went on to speak about what she believes is the key to a successful relationship as she confessed that while she's "not a very patient person" she believes it's up top on the priority list.

"Ryan and I are actually opposites and they say opposites attract and I never really believed that. We really are different people and we meet in the middle. He's very sensible, very relaxed, horizontal, nothing affects him, very straightforward, his values are very one dimensional, all aligned.

"I'm a bit more all over the place, trying to please everybody, 'yes, yes, yes, I'll do everything', super social, get everything done… We kind of teach each other our ways. We learn a lot, I think.

"Probably to listen as well and to make and effort to communicate. Ryan is not a big talker so I need to be quite sensitive."

Louise, who recently gave her blessing to brother Sam and Zara McDermott's romantic reunion, then revealed that she's read many books on relationships that made her re-evaluate everything. Louise said: "I realised I was doing so much wrong."

She added: "I was just living my life through my eyes only and you really do have to see things from the other side of the coin."

The fitness guru also spoke to OK! about her work with Petplan, explaining that she learned very early on as a pet owner that insurance is essential.

Her one piece of advice to those looking to own a dog is to do lots of research.

"If you're buying a dog, get one from a reputable breeder. If you're going to adopt, there are lots of amazing shelters," she said.
