Loved-up Dani Dyer ‘coping amazingly’ with being a single mum to son Santiago

Dani Dyer may have had her fair share of heartache over the last year, but pals of the former Love Island star have told OK! that she’s “really happy” after finding love with West Ham player Jarrod Bowen.

And according to those close to the star, she’s also coping incredibly well with raising her 10-month old son Santiago on her own.

“She's a really natural mother and has really adapted to single motherhood despite the horrific time she's gone through,” our source told us. “She's really coped amazingly.”

And as for her hot new romance, it’s a case of being just what the doctor ordered after her ill-fated relationship with Santiago’s dad, Sammy Kimmence, ended in disaster.

Our source told us: “She seems really happy. It's completely changed her life to go from what she went through to finding this really nice guy."

Dani was left heartbroken when just six months after their son was born, stockbroker and amateur footballer Sammy was shockingly convicted of conning two pensioners out of £34,000 and put behind bars for three and a half years.

The pair had endured an on-off relationship but it looked like they had finally committed to each other and welcomed son Santiago months before Sammy’s shock conviction.

And while she seems to have bounced back brilliantly, Dani, 25, admitted, “at times, I’ve been an emotional wreck.”

She recently opened up about the things she misses about having a father-figure around for her son, telling The Sun: “I’d be lying if I said it wouldn’t be nice to have a dad there, just to have someone to talk to at the end of the day.

"If a child does anything new, the first person you go to to speak to is his dad.”

But the good news is that her own dad, EastEnders star Danny Dyer, very much approves of her new man.

She said: “My dad thinks Jarrod’s a lovely guy.”

That said, the star, who previously dated her fellow Love Islander Jack Fincham, is taking it slowly with the 24-year-old blonde.

“Everything is so early days”, she said, before making the point that her son is her number one priority.

“He will always come first,” she explained.
