Meghan Markle’s dad Thomas ‘doesn’t approve of Prince Harry’, her brother claims

Thomas Markle Jr, who’s currently starring on Australia’s Big Brother VIP, has made more explosive comments about his half-sisterMeghan Markle.

Thomas Jr said on the Big Brother VIP episode that aired on Tuesday 2 November: "My dad doesn't approve of him.

"My father says he couldn't even protect those chickens in their backyard if he needed to.”

Thomas Markle Sr has reportedly never met the Duke of Sussex.

The 55 year old also shocked with his remarks about Meghan speaking about her mental health struggles while living in the UK with Prince Harry before they stepped down as senior members of the royal family, in her interview with Oprah earlier this year.

During his interview with radio hosts Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli which was being viewed by his fellow housemates, Thomas Jr said: “I don’t 100% believe that. I don’t agree with some of the stuff said on the Oprah interview as far as not having those services available.”

“I can’t imagine being that sheltered,” he continued.

In response to his comments, Fitzy suggested that Meghan probably needs him “more than ever” for support.

Her brother replied: “That would be great, you know? I’ll answer the phone – just give a phone call.

“Everybody’s always loved Meghan, everyone’s always supported her no matter what. I have. I mean, I may say bad things about her and I may write horrible letters to people, but the end result is that I do love my sister.”

Thomas Jr’s fellow Big Brother VIP contestants were far from impressed with his comments.

Jessika Power said: “Sorry, didn’t like that,” and joked that she’d like to see Thomas Jr be the first person to leave the show.

Bernard Curry echoed similar sentiments, branding the interview and Thomas Jr’s comments as “brutal”.

Thomas Jr’s explosive interview comes just days afterhis interview with New Idea magazine was publishedwhere he said he wanted to apologise to his sister.

He told the Aussie publication: “I don't need a photo op to go see my sister and I don't want a story behind it. I don't want anything – I would just love to go over to their home and knock on their door, give her a big hug and a kiss and say I missed the hell out of her and apologise right to her face.”

"Maybe one day that will happen. I'd do anything to see Archie and Lilibet,” he added.
