Smashing Pumpkins Deliver Virtual Performance Of ‘Cyr’ On ‘Tonight Show’

The Smashing Pumpkins delivered a virtual performance of “Cyr,” the title track from their new album, on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday, December 1.

Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, James Iha and Jeff Schroeder performed the song in a studio.

Last week, Smashing Pumpkins dropped Cyr, the band’s first double album since 1995.

Cyr is a follow-up to 2018’s Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun. Cyr is the band’s first double-album since the iconic Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness from 1995.

In October, the band had revealed that they were planning for a 33-track sequel to Mellon Collie. They did not disclose any release date nor title for the album but said it is expected to arrive next year.
