Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid, 50, took to Twitter this evening to share an emotional appeal for a missing boy. The television personality said her “heart breaks” as she shared a video of the mother of Oxford student Richard Okorogheye calling for any information about her son.
Susanna posted in front of her 825,000 followers on Twitter, urging anyone with information to come forward.
She wrote: “My heart breaks for Richard’s mum.
“If you have any information or may have seen this young man, last seen in West London, please call police on 101 quoting 21MIS008134.”
Richard, 19, is a student from west London who has been missing for a week.
He has sickle cell disease and has not been seen since he left to meet a friend on March 22.
His mother Evidence Joel spoke about earlier today in a live news broadcast.
She said: “He’s my baby, he’s my treasure, he’s my oxygen.”
The police are still calling for those with any news to come forward in an appeal to find him.
Susanna’s followers shared her anguish after she tweeted this evening.
One wrote: “Don’t blame you Susanna, whenever a sibling goes missing, it’s always heartbreaking.
“I truly hope & pray they find Richard safe and well and bring him back home to his loving Mum and family soon. thank you for sharing this Susanna.”
A second penned: “As you know as a mother, there is no other pain & sheer anguish of the loss of your child or the pain of a missing child.
