Sweet moment lady can’t believe her luck as she meets King Charles

One lady couldn't believe her luck on Wednesday as she came face-to-face with King Charles III at Methodist Central Hall in Westminster.

King Charles, 74, was greeting members of Business in the Community, also known as BITC, in central London when the sweet moment occurred.

The woman, dressed in a blue dress, beamed as she knelt into a deep curtsy in front of His Majesty, who opened his arms ready to embrace her.

Charles appeared to put recent Royaldrama behind him at the event, and looked to be in good spirits as he celebrated the 40th anniversary of BITC.

Dressed in a blue suit with a matching tie, Charles could be seen chatting to members of BITC and shaking hands with guests inside Central Hall.

He was then photographed preparing to cut into a celebratory cake as the group watched.

The King's most recent engagement comes after he hosted his first ever Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace on 6 December, along with his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, 74.

It marked the first Diplomatic Corps reception in three years, as hundreds of foreign ambassadors gather for the affair in the state rooms of the Palace.

The reception saw Their Majesties meet representatives of countries accredited to the Court of St. James.

The last Diplomatic Corps reception, which is usually an annual affair, was hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in December 2019. It is usually held every December, but there were no receptions in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Camilla wore an elegant navy Anna Valentine gown, which she paired with the late Queen's sapphire and diamond tiara with its matching necklace. She also wore sapphire earrings to match the rest of the look, but they were different to the ones usually worn with the sapphire set.

The King and Queen Consort were also joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales at the reception on Tuesday.

Kate, 40, looked incredible in a red sequinned Jenny Packham gown which she paired with the Lovers Knot tiara and diamond drop earrings, which belonged to the late Queen, while Prince William, 40, looked dapper in a tuxedo.
