Taylor Swift Tops Billboard Artist 100 For Record-Extending 44th Week

Taylor Swift topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart dated January 9, extending her record as the top musical act in the U.S. to a 44th total week thanks to her LPs Evermore and Folklore continuing to fare well.

Evermore and Folklore are ranked No. 2 and No. 6, respectively on the Billboard 200 chart, earning 71,000 equivalent album units and 35, 000 units, respectively, in the week ending December 31, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Evermore lead single “Willow” concurrently ranks at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs after debuting at No. 1 on both charts three weeks ago.

Swift is way ahead in terms of the number of weeks she has made it to the top of the Artist 100 list. Drake is second with 31 weeks on top, while The Weeknd is in the third place with 20 weeks at No. 1. BTS and Ariana Grande (15 each) hold the next spot on the most weeks at No. 1.

The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
