This Morning’s Josie Gibson gets trapped in a bin as she begs ‘get me out’

This Morning's roving reporter Josie Gibson got stuck in a bin on the daytime TV show on Thursday.

The star often causes all manner of hilarious scenes as she gets involves with different segments outside of the studio.

Her latest drama was no exception as presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary ended up in hysterics when they witnessed the 36 year old getting trapped inside of a green wheelie bin.

Josie even had the assistance of competition star Andi Peters for her skit, as he rolled her along the streets of suburbia to their lucky cash prize winner for Dosh on your Doorstep, which she regularly films for the programme.

But unfortunately when the door opened, Josie burst out laughter and declared she couldn't get out of the recycling, despite there being a cut-out panel on the side.

Ahead of the grand moment, Dermot rang up winner Gabby to prepare her for the arrival.

"Would you mind taking a look out of your window?" he asked with a cheeky grin.

"You might see possibly the strangest sight you'll ever see in your life.

"One of our producers in a beautiful sheepskin jacket pulling Josie Gibson to your door."

But as all went wrong the other end, Josie started yelling "get me out" until the video link lost connection.

Alison put her face in her hands and cringed for her colleague, who continued to cry for help and shout: "I can't get out of the bin!"

"She can't get out, we can't even see her," Alison giggled and Dermot shook his head in disbelief.

The former X Factor host then turned his attention back to the audience at home, as he explained the situation.

"We'll be back with a heavily pixelated Josie and Gabriella to play Dosh on Your Doorstep in around 10 minutes' time," Dermot assured with a smile.

"Oh my god, that is the funniest thing I've seen," Alison chimed in, and Dermot insisted she didn't "see any of it" with a laugh.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
