TOWIE star Bobby Norris and boyfriend Matt Snape confirm split with emotional statements

After recently celebrating their one-year anniversary, Bobby Norris and partner Matt Snape have confirmed their break-up.

A source previously told OK! the pair have parted ways, but now both Bobby and Matt have put out statements on their Instagram.

Alongside a picture of himself smiling, Bobby, 34, wrote: "Hey guys, I just want to acknowledge the recent speculation regarding my relationship.

"I can confirm that Matt and I are no longer together. We share some amazing memories of our time together and I truly wish him the best," the TOWIE star said.

Matt also put out a message on his own Instagram story, confirming the break-up.

He wrote: "Hi guys, I'm just going to acknowledge this so people stop asking me about the OK! mag article Tuesday night.

"Yes, me and Bobby have decided to call things a day. It was a mutual decision, neither of us was at fault and we are both on the same page."

Ending things on an amicable note, Matt concluded: "We had a fantastic year together and it just ran it's course. These things happen. I wish him all the best."

An insider first broke the news about the split exclusively to us on Tuesday.

They said: "It is believed that Bobby has called time on their relationship after a year together.

"They're both upset and saddened things didn't work out. As the current series is still being filmed it is likely that the split will play out on the show."

The couple first met on TOWIE when both Bobby and Matt were taking part in a salsa dancing class.

They even spent the entirety of lockdown together, with Matt even moving down to Essex for Bobby.

In a recent scene from this series of the reality show, the pair even discussed wanting to have kids in the future.

As they celebrated their one-year anniversary, Bobby asked Matt if he'd like to settle down any time soon.

"We're together for over a year now, which is incredible. Where is your head in terms of being a parent, getting married – is that something you see yourself doing?"

Matt replied: "100%. Always have done, since I was little. I've always known that I've wanted a family life.

"And I think, when the time's right, and when you're ready in every aspect to make that step, 100%. We'll go for it."
