Towie stars pay tribute as Harry Derbidge's ex-boyfriend Rhys Alan Smith dies
The Towie cast have led tributes to Rhys Alan Smith, the ex-boyfriend of star Harry Derbidge.
According to the Sun, the star – who was at the centre of a recent storyline on the ITVBe series – was found dead last week in Tenerife.
His cause of death has not been confirmed.
Following the sad news, some of his famous pals joined in the condolences, sharing messages underneath his most recent Instagram picture.
‘My heart will never be the same I won’t ever be the same love you Reece,’ Gemma Collins commented, and also shared a string of heart emojis beneath a birthday tribute he posted for her in January.
‘Love you mate,’ James ‘Arg’ Argent replied.
‘Always sunshine. That’s how I’ll always remember you. Beautiful boy,’ a follower posted.
‘Absolutely shocked and heartbroken my beautiful old friend I wish and pray that this wasn’t true,’ another said.
‘My memories of you in Kavos will never fade. Always smiling happy funny. This is too too much to bare [sic].’
Harry has yet to publicly pay tribute to Rhys on his social media pages.
The former couple dated in 2013, and would regularly appear at events and on red carpets together.
However, details of their romance have been discussed in the latest series of Towie, with Harry claiming they were intimate at the beginning of his romance with Bobby Norris.
This has led to a huge feud between the former couple, with explosive rows dogging the latest episodes.
