Will Smith jokes son Jaden 'got here' thanks to Tequila
Will Smith has just gone and won the award for most embarrassing dad – but we love him for it.
The 50-year-old was super proud of his son Jaden as he celebrated the rapper’s 21st birthday party.
And after downing a couple of shots of tequila, the superstar thanked the drink for bringing his pride and joy into the world.
In a video on his Instagram feed, the actor can be heard joking: ‘Tequila, that is how you got here!’
And he seemed to reaffirm the fact in the caption, as he later added: ‘My son is the product of good parenting and GREAT tequila.’
Fans were quick to comment and couldn’t help but laugh at the post.
‘This is the reason why Jaden is doing so much wonderful things in life,’ one wrote before adding: ‘He is surrounded with love and laughter and was made from tequila!’
Another said: ‘That family love is everything,’ while others laughed: ‘Traumatising that poor kid.’
The Men In Black star went on to tease the birthday boy some more, and he said he couldn’t wait for Christmas so would make a nativity of how he was conceived.
But it sounds as though things got sincere after the jokes, as People reported a heartfelt speech, which was delivered by the Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It hitmaker.
He told his bambino: ‘I’ll tell you something my father told me on my 21st birthday. Never break two laws at one time.
‘Because you increase your chances exponentially of getting caught for both. So only break one law at a time.’
He added: ‘I’m really proud of you, just the way that you’ve grown in the past few years is what parents hope for.
‘You take it seriously to contribute to the human family. You just make us proud every single day. So, here’s to your 21st birthday today, and here’s to you being a full grown man.’
Getting back to his jokey self, the star trolled his son, as he continued: ‘And here’s to getting you off of my insurance.
‘Here’s to paying your own bills. The accountants are transferring your stuff first thing tomorrow morning.’
