Mum shares hilarious review of Rocketman sex scene – and even star approves

Last week the Elton John biopic Rocketman landed in cinemas across the UK.

The film has come under fire since its release for 'inaccuracies' in the storyline and the superstar himself has claimed that the studio wanted to tone down certain aspects of the plot.

But regardless of any criticism, many are loving the film – including one mum who shared a hilarious review of it with her fellow parents on Mumsnet.

And there was one scene in particular that really stood out for her.

Writing on the parenting forum, the unnamed woman reveals she'd been having a hard time but going to see Rocketman really cheered her up.

She said: "I'm having a s*** time atm, went to pictures to see Rocketman yesterday and found the sex scene between Taron Egerton and Richard Madden the hottest thing I've ever seen.

"Seriously, if you're a menopausal old hound looking for a boost in the fanjo, go and watch this on a loop."

Her post was screenshotted and shared on Twitter where it was liked by thousands – with some arguing that it should be featured on the back of the Blu-ray packet when it's released, while others made a mental note to add "boost in the fanjo" to their vocabulary.

In the film Taron Egerton takes on the lead role of the Rocketman himself, while Richard Madden portrays John Reid, who was Elton John's manager and lover.

The pair share a raunchy scene, which is thought to be the first instance of gay sex shown in a mainstream studio movie.

New York Times film writer, Kyle Buchanan, read the mum's review aloud to Egerton during a recent interview and said the star had the best response.

According to Buchanan, he "died laughing" before saying: "That's the best review I've ever gotten."
