To All the Boys PS I Still Love You: Do Lara Jean and Peter stay together?

Lara Jean Covey has had a pretty busy time of it in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Her love letters were sent to all those she loved as a child, meaning she becomes the subject of derision at school. By the end of the movie, she had found her Prince Charming – but do they stay together in the sequel on Netflix?

***Warning: To All The Boys: PS I Still Love You spoilers

Lara Jean Covey (played by Lana Condor), at the end of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, had finally paired up with one of her favourites.

Her younger sister, Kitty (Anna Cathcart) mailed out five love letters written by Lara Jean, in the hope of stirring up some trouble.

These crushes were Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), her sister Margot’s ex Josh (Israel Broussard), Kenny (Edward Kewin), John Ambrose (Jordan Burtchett) and her close mate Lucas (Trezzo Mahoro).

Eventually, after Lara Jean and Peter fake-date to make his ex-girlfriend, Gen, jealous, the two begin to really like each other.

They endure some hardships, like a video of them in a hot tub making it on the internet, but eventually the couple kiss and seem to be in paradise together.

However, fans will remember that, in the mid-credits scene, John Ambrose arrives with a bunch of flowers in his hand for Lara Jean.

Does this mean Lara Jean finds a new love, and the new golden couple are over?

Do Peter and Lara Jean stay together in To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You?

Ultimately, the couple do stay together, but there are quite a number of bumps in the road.

As was teased in the last film’s mid-credits scene, John Ambrose shows up in a big way.

Lara Jean and Peter decide not to volunteer for the same project as part of their extra curricular activities, and LJ is left signing up alone to help at the old people’s home Margot helped at the year before.

However, on arrival, she discovers a boy from another high school is also volunteering: and it’s John Ambrose.

While she is initially nervous about this, she and John Ambrose very quickly begin to get close, even to the point when, as time goes on, the pair start to get on more easily, even to the point when they are flirting.

Quickly, things begin to deteriorate between Lara Jean and Peter, as she wishes her boyfriend was a little less desired by the school, and forgets to tell John Ambrose about her new love.

Peter becomes jealous, while Lara Jean is frustrated to see Peter has invited his ex, Gen, and remains in close contact with her even while they are together.

Things come to a head in a shocking moment, and the pair look as though they’re over for good.

However, in an exciting twist, the pair are brought together – but it’s best for fans to tune in to find out the particulars of how that comes together.

There is a third instalment coming soon, so it is clear that, while Lara Jean and Peter are looking strong for now, there is plenty of drama in store.
