Adele first debuted her trim new look last year, after going on The Sirtfood Diet.

She is also thought to have taken up reformer pilates with pal and Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field.

Adele is also said to be a fan of Joe Wicks' high-intensity workout videos.

The former couple share seven-year-old son Angelo.

Instead, he said it was for her son Angelo's benefit.

In the Instagram post, he penned: "When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny. It was about getting her healthy. Especially post pregnancy and post surgery.

"When 25 dropped and the tour was announced, we had to get ready for a 13 month gruelling schedule.

"In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices. As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice. Her body transformation was splashed across every media outlet."

Adele's new single will be released on Friday, 15 October, with her fourth album expected to follow.
