BBC star Naga Munchetty pokes fun at Long Lost Family host Nicky Campbell

BBC newsreader Naga Munchetty has poked fun at Long Lost Family host Nicky Campbell, after the latter posted a picture to social media of himself with his pet dog.

Nicky uploaded the image on Twitter, sharing it with his 176k followers.

In the photo, the ITV presenter is captured laid down with his dog laid with him, resting its chin across his stomach, captioning it: "He’s a lovely old boy. Creaks a bit bit and can’t move like he used to but so full of fun and the joys of life."

Naga cheekily replied with: "Absolutely gorgeous (the dog that is) x".

One Twitter user clapped back, saying: "In fairness Naga, Nicky’s not looking too bad either…!" While another quipped: "I am wondering about the dog as well (wink face emoji)".

Plenty of Nicky's followers flocked to comment on the sweet snap as if Nicky's dog, Maxwell, had written the post.

One wrote: "So gracious of you to update us on how @NickyAACampbell is doing Maxwell. Slowing down, but still trying to be out there, is a tricky balance. Both of you have fans aplenty."

BBC journalist John Sopel joked: "Sweet the dog speaks about you so caringly".
