Carol Vorderman has unveiled new "blonder" locks ahead of The Pride Of Britain awards.

The 60-year-old bombshell, who has hosted the emotional award ceremony for over two decades, always brings the heat when it comes to walking the red carpet.

And if Carol's new highlighted tresses are anything to go by, then she'll certainly be delivering again this year when it comes to her glam look.

Just yesterday, the Welsh starlet took to Instagram to show off the results of a fresh trim and colours.

Posing with her hairstylist, she wrote: "Gone a but blonder for the @prideofbritain awards… thank you @kalas_hair_boutique. Loving it."

The Countdown television star will be hosting the glitzy event alongside Britains Got Talent judge Ashley Banjo.

Giving fans a taster of what she may be wearing on the big day – with filming taking place this Saturday and the programme airing on ITV on Thursday next week – she stepped out on social media in a number of curve-skimming frocks.

Another behind-the-scenes snippet saw Carol rock a low plunging bright blue dress that demanded attention.

However, whatever she has decided to wear on the evening, Carol had vowed not to be phased by nasty sexy outfit shamers.

Instead, Carol has vowed to stick a "virtual middle finger" up at people who have something to say about her age and how she dresses.

Having reached the milestone age of 60 last December, the TV star has no intention of covering up her killer body.

Speaking to OK! Magazine she said: "I love being this age. I can't be doing with people who aren't nice and I've never cared what people think.

"I have totally embraced 60", she added, "You can use it as an excuse and say 'Oh well, it's my age.'"

The Pride Of Britain host explained that she was never one to follow the crowd anyway and wasn't about to start doing so now.

She went on: "Mischief is my middle name and I do what I like.

"I've always been a bit of a rebel. I've never understood why people conform because society dictates it."
