Corrie’s Ryan Thomas sparks soap return rumour as he reunites with on-screen mum
Ryan Thomas has sparked rumours of an epic Coronation Street comeback after reuniting with his on-screen mum Sue Cleaver.
The former actor, 36, played Sue's builder son Jason Grimshaw on the Cobbles for nearly 16 years.
Ryan even joined the iconic ITV soap with Sue back in 2000, so the former co-stars go way back to the start of the noughties.

Sue's character of Eileen has remained a regular face on Weatherfield, but Jason left his hometown for a new life in Thailand after the death of Callum Logan (Sean Ward).
However, fans will be delighted to learn that Ryan and Sue enjoyed a sweet reunion away from the soap which saw them get together for lunch.
Ryan took to Instagram on Saturday (August 21) to share snaps of the special reunion and gush over his former co-star.
He wrote: "Today brought back so many fond memories.
"I was just a kid at 16 yrs old when I met this woman & she played my on screen mum for 16 yrs & here we are 22 yrs later with my own kids.

"I love you so much @officialsuecleaver but I’m still in shock you’ve joined instagram."
One thing is clear; Sue hasn't lost Eileen's motherly touch after all those years looking after Jason, because she was seen cradling Ryan's youngest daughter Lilah Rae.
Another snap showed the pair beaming as they sat next to each other with Ryan's kids in the restaurant.
Ryan and his TOWIE star wife Lucy Mecklenburgh welcomed Lilah earlier this year after giving birth to their young son Roman, their first child, in 2019.

Sue also shared the photos on her profile and added: "Such a beautiful day @ryanthomas4 @lucymeck1 truly blessed to have them in my life."
Fans were delighted to see Ryan and Sue reunite, but many couldn't help asking if Ryan set foot on the Cobbles in the near future.
One asked: "I absolutely love this! When are you going back to the cobbles as Jason again?? It’s about time he visited his mam xx"

A second said: "Gorgeous! I bet she was glad Jason popped back from Thailand with the Grandkids [laughing emoji]."
Speaking about his Corrie exit in 2016, Ryan said: "It’s a risk to leave a show like Coronation Street.
"I was in a bubble for 16 years. I love the place, it feels like home and I miss people there. But I really enjoy my time out of Corrie, getting to do new things.
"There’s a time to spread your wings and I felt like that was the time for me. I was ready."
