Britannica reports that this artist studied music at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. To be more specific, Lady Gaga was granted early admission to the Collaborative Arts Project 21, a music school at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

According to the NYC Arts website, CAP21 “replenishes the American musical theater by training the next generation of performers and infusing the entertainment industry at large with talent and source.”

Lady Gaga only attended college for two years before forging a career for herself in the music industry, later releasing songs like “Poker Face” and “Just Dance.” That theatrical influence shined when it came to Lady Gaga’s career outside of music.

Months following A Star is Born’s release, Lady Gaga teamed up with Ridley Scott for the fashion-forward film House of Gucci. She appeared alongside Adam Driver, Salma Hayek, Al Pacino, and others. The actor even shared that she stayed in character in between scenes.

“I only felt that I could truly do this story justice if I approached it with the eye of a curious woman who was interested in possessing a journalistic spirit so that I could read between the lines of what was happening in the film’s scenes,” Gaga said during an interview with British Vogue. “[N]obody was going to tell me who Patrizia Gucci was. Not even Patrizia Gucci.”

House of Gucci is now playing in theaters.
