Fern Britton ‘looks back and laughs’ at failed marriage, ruling out new husband
TV host Fern Britton has reflected on her failed marriage to ex-husband Phil Vickery saying she can now “look back and laugh” at the ordeal.
The comments come two years after the presenter, 65, announced the breakdown of her marriage as she reveals she has completely ruled out marrying for a third time.
In a new interview with Saga Magazine, Fern admitted candidly that she is happy being single and finds it “liberating”.

She said: "Being single has been liberating. I like being on my own.
"I wouldn’t consider dating again at the moment.”
The best-selling author also admitted she has finally found closure from her tragic split with the TV chef.
Fern added that she looks back at her marriage like "a closed chapter after 20 years" and is able to laugh about it now.
"I can think about the good things and laugh," she added.
However, she firmly ruled out walking down the aisle for the third time stating that she has no intentions of marrying again.
Though Fern cheekily quipped that she would make an exception for a "millionaire with a flashy car and diamond ring", adding that they'd "have a big party".
In January 2020, the couple announced they were parting ways following 20 years of marriage.
Fern and Phil first met while hosting Ready Steady Cook together in 1999.
The pair then tied the knot the following year before welcoming their daughter Winnie in 2001.
They later became co-stars on This Morning, which Fern hosted for a decade from 1999.
Announcing the split, Fern told fans that after 20 happy years together the pair had "decided to go our separate ways".
She added that she will always share a great friendship with her ex and their "lovely children".
She went on to thanks fans for their continued kindness and support and asked for privacy during what was a very difficult time.
The marriage was Fern’s second following her divorce from her first husband, TV executive Clive Jones.
The former couple share twin sons Jack and Harry, 25, and a daughter Grace, 22.
Phil was also previously married to Sarah Ann Lock from 1990 to 1999.
Fern is currently promoting her book The Good Servant, which she hopes will "revive the reputation” of Marion Crawford.
Marion, whom the book centres around, was the governess to a young Princess Margaret and Princess Elizabeth.
This is the first of Fern’s novels not to be set in Cornwall, where the star has now moved to live full-time.
