French Montana Deemed ‘Unprofessional’ for Forgetting Lyrics During Performance With Monsta X
One says that the rapper is an example of someone who doesn’t ‘graduate from your trainee time,’ while another can’t believe how he can even be famous when ‘he puts no energy in this performance.’
AceShowbiz -Fans of Monsta X are not in the slightest bit happy with the group’s debut performance of “Who Do U Love”, and it was all because of their collaborator French Montana. During their joint set on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Friday, August 9, the rapper appeared to forget his lines and that prompted fans to criticize him.
French was captured barely managing to rap a few lines while appearing to have problems with his earpiece. This mishap caused them to perform for the second time, and the “Unforgettable” rapper fortunately was able to deliver his bars without any problems. However, Monsta X fans were already upset and proceeded to blast French.
Some didn’t even hesitate to deem French “unprofessional” because of that. One said, “some of the members of monsta x don’t speak english and they did their best to memorize ENGLISH lyrics and DID AMAZING and then French Montana KNOWS english and yet couldn’t memorize the lyrics?? wtf how?! The unprofessionalism jumped out.” Another accused French of not feeling “the need to learn his lines to perform and was mumbling the whole way through. Complete unprofessional and disrespectful to Monsta X.”
“French Montana…. you had one job. My baby I.M. Should’ve just rapped since he actually knows YOUR lines and he actually CARES unlike you, who clearly didn’t give a crap,” one other said, while an individual quipped that the 34-year-old spitter was an example of someone who didn’t “graduate from your trainee time.” There was one who couldn’t believe how French could even get famous when “he puts no energy in this performance.”
French has yet to respond to the criticism.
“Who Do U Love” was released on June 21. It was nominated for Best K-Pop at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, along with BLACKPINK‘s “Kill This Love” and BTS’ (Bangtan Boys) “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey among others.
