Nadine Coyle has broken her silence following the death of her Girls Aloud bandmate, Sarah Harding.

Sarah died peacefully on September 5 following a battle with breast cancer, fighting the disease until the end.

The late singer announced her diagnosis in August 2020, confirming that while she had originally been diagnosed with breast cancer, it had spread to her spine and brain.

Taking to her Instagram page, a heartbroken Nadine shared a stunning picture of Sarah, in her element with a smile on her face.

Alongside the snap, she penned: "I am absolutely devastated!! I can’t think of words that could possibly express how I feel about this girl & what she means to me!!

"I know so many of you will be feeling this way. For now, I’m sending so much love to you!!!"

Fans of Girls Aloud, known as Alouders instantly flocked to the comment section to echo Nadine's heartbreak, with one writing: "Sending so much love Nadine, absolutely heartbroken."

A second went on to pen: "Sending all love to her family and friends!"

"Completely devastating news, condolences to her family and friends," typed a third.

Before a fourth added: "Heartbroken is an understatement. Sending you SO much love."
