Glee star Naya Rivera’s son Josey is ‘doing better every day’ after tragic death

Naya Rivera 's son Josey is reported to be "doing better every day" after his mum's tragic accidental death last month.

An insider reported to Entertainment Tonight that every day is seemingly getting a little bit easier for the boy, who is trying to come to terms with the sudden loss of his mother.

The source said: "This has been an unbelievably difficult time for her family and loved ones."

Josey is living with his father Ryan Dorsey full-time as the pair try to face each day together, following the tragedy.

The insider added: "Ryan’s whole world is Josey right now.

"Ryan is still grieving and is very much struggling with the loss of Naya, but he stays strong and keeps going for the sake of his son. Ryan would do anything for Josey.

"Right now, he's really laying low and staying out of the public eye so he can completely focus on Josey and try to figure out how to navigate this new normal."

The body of the Glee actress was discovered in Lake Piru in California, five days after her son was recovered safe and sound from on-board a boat.

The TV starlet was laid to rest 11 days after her death by drowning was confirmed by police.

According to a death certificate obtained by CNN, Rivera was buried at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park on July 24.

It is believed that she used her final bursts of energy to return her four-year-old son back onto the boat.

Naya was launched to stardom as Santana Lopez on Glee alongside cast members Lea Michele and Heather Morris.

In 2015, she left television screens to further advance her career in the movie world, taking on a supporting role in the comedy hit Mad Families.

Before Rivera's sudden passing last month, she had filmed a stint as a guest judge on Netflix's Sugar Rush.

The competition show is believed to have been the mum-of-one's final TV performance before her tragic death in the Californian lake.

The streaming service announced that they will air the season three episode, paying tribute to the actress who starred alongside Hunter March, Candace Nelson, and Adriano Zumbo on the baking show.
