Kate Garraway begs for help as she ‘worries about keeping the kids going’

Kate Garraway has taken to social media to beg for help after a string of her home appliances stopped working.

The Good Morning Britain host felt she was left with no choice but to public issue a cry for support after a planned engineer visit failed to take place.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday morning after wrapping up hosting the ITV show with Ben Shephard, Kate, 53 wrote: "Help @BritishGas! – my fridge & freezer and washing machine have all stopped working – someone was coming yesterday under your home care plan but never showed up – am panicking about keeping kids an I going if we are isolating without this."

Within the company publicly replied: "Hi Kate, sorry to hear the engineer didn't get to you yesterday. I'll be able to check things for you, please pop me over a DM with your full address and phone number. Thanks, Sharon."

It's not known for how long Kate's appliances were not working for.

Speaking on Thursday's edition of GMB, Kate revealed her kids had had a Covid health scare earlier this month.

Keen to do the right thing, she isolated with both of her children while waiting for test results.

Speaking frankly, Kate said: "It's lovely to be back.

"Well there have been a few challenges kicking off and going on, challenge with Derek as there always are but also outside of Derek there was a littles scare.

"We found out that children had been in contact with someone who tested positive shortly after they met.

"So just to be ultra cautious I kept them at home and we luckily we all god negative tests. We actually had two negative tests as you know, more is more."

For former I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star continued: "I did think this is going to be very difficult.

Kate contracted Covid in March the same time her partner Derek also tested positive for the virus.

Sadly he was hospitalised and put in intensive care.

While he is now Covid free, the virus has destroyed his body and he is currently still in hospital recovering.
