Martin Roberts sparks concern with ‘battered and bruised’ snap in secret project

Former I'm A Celebrity star Martin Roberts has sparked concern after admitting he's been left "battered and bruised" by his top secret project.

The Homes Under The Hammer presenter has been dropping hints about an upcoming TV project which he has teased is "very very very interesting" but he has refused to say much more, because it's "hush hush".

Fans have been pretty excited about what might be to come, but plenty were worried after the star confessed he was a little the worse for wear after his latest day of shooting.

Martin, 58, posted a video of himself on Twitter looking a bit dishevelled and told his followers: "Finally home. Slightly battered and bruised but in one piece!"

He added in the clip that it had been "one heck of a day".

"I know it's really frustrating that I can't tell you what I've been doing but I thought I'd better just report back and say I'm still alive and it's been an emotional rollercoaster – tears, laughter, the whole lot," he said.

"Apparently we'll be able to tell you what's going on in about two weeks time, so that's about the beginning of November and then you'll understand everything that has been going on!"

He added: "But as I say, it has been a challenge and honestly, all your support and words of encouragement have helped me through it.

"So when you see it, you can share on some of the success, OK? I mean that."

Martin's fans flocked to wish him well after the cryptic post.

"You look shattered Martin but at least you are still in one piece," one tweeted.

"Glad you have survived today," said another.

"Sorry you got battered & bruised – hope it was worth it," posted another, while one wrote: "I hope you are recovering Martin."

Fans have been trying to guess Martin's secret, with many suggesting it might be that he's going to be on Dancing On Ice.

Others suspects it might be some sort of survival show involving adventurer Bear Grylls.
