Matt Lucas flaunts incredible weight loss as he poses with pal David Walliams
Little Britain star Matt Lucas looks dramatically different from his time on the comedy show after deciding to overhaul his appearance during the lockdown.
Matt shared a snap of himself looking rather slim in his black pinstripe suit paired with a red tie while he posed with his pal David Walliams who was donning a blue shirt and a light coloured blazer.
The pair were together to celebrate David's 50th birthday as Matt shared a snap of them both with a chocolate cake in front of them which read, "Happy Birthday David".
Matt wished his friend a happy birthday as he shared the snap, which saw many fans quickly comment on the photo, with some making reference to Matt's trim figure.
As he hit 30,000 likes the comments piled in with one user writing: "Looking slim Matt!", while another added: "You two have aged like a fine wine."
Meanwhile, other fans were commenting countless Little Britain references as his followers clearly have fond memories of the Little Britain double act – though they certainly look different.
Matt chose to overhaul his image during the lockdown, telling Lorraine Kelly that he "had to do something about it".
At the time he said: "I lost some weight, I needed to take the edge off, because I put on a lot of weight in lockdown."
He added: "I've still got a bit of a tum and a bit going on here [point to his chin]. I'm not a skinny minnie."
Last year Matt revealed his hopes to "get fitter" during quarantine, which is exactly what he has spent some time doing – and it has certainly been noticed.
Matt had a particular presence on TV after the debut of Little Britain in 2003.
Although the series ended after three years, Matt and David remained close friends and continued to work together on various projects in the years that followed.
The pair are yet to work on something new, but it was teased that a new project could be coming as Matt previously told Lorraine: "We've got an idea. We haven't written anything down yet, we haven't pitched anything to anyone, but we do know what it is we want to do."
No new project has been confirmed just yet, but fans of the comedians will certainly be lining up to hear more details.
