Phillip Schofield shares sweaty workout selfie as he lifts lid on gym struggle
Dancing on Ice host Phillip Schofield proved he was fighting fit again after he returned to the gym following a recent battle with Covid-19.
The TV star, 59, had endured a grilling session with some "heavy" weights and took to Instagram with a sweaty selfie to showcase the results.
Phillip was in agreement with experts that a good workout can be good for the soul.
Having been put through his paces though, he did reveal one major flaw with throwing himself in at the deep end.
He wrote on the first post: "A heavy workout is definitely good for the head… only trouble is…"
"I'm too f***ed to tidy up," the This Morning host penned across a snap of all of his hefty looking gym equipment that was still on the floor.
Phillip seemed to be back in high spirits again after needing to take time out from all of his hosting duties – following a positive Covid-19 result.
This Morning and Dancing on Ice were left in chaos as the TV host was forced into isolation.
The TV star's co-host Holly Willoughby was instead joined by Friday presenter Alison Hammond, Rochelle Humes and evening ITV favourite Josie Gibson.
Filling up Phil's post, Alison and Rochelle also delighted viewers of the day time favourite when they teamed up together for one day only.
It was later announced that the dad-of-two would not be well enough to return for Dancing on Ice duties that week either.
Catchphrase star Stephen Mulhern stepped up to the table while Phil had to self-isolate.
Stephen and Holly had worked together in kids TV 16 years before they were reunited on the hit ice skating show – and their connection was felt by the public.
Fans enjoyed Stephen and Holly's union so much that many took to Twitter to request for ITV to make a permanent presenter switch.
One person wrote: "@StephenMulhern please come back and save the show #dancingonice."
Another said: "Anyone else seriously miss @StephenMulhern? @dancingonice seemed SOOOOO much fresher with him, last week."
