Sam Smith urges Bond bosses to let ‘incredible’ Elton John write next tune
Sam Smith wants retiring Elton John to get the honour of writing the next James Bond theme as a farewell gift.
Smith, who wrote Writing’s On The Wall for the Spectre film, says he cannot believe the legend hasn’t been asked to do one yet.
Sam said: “I actually think Elton John should so it, he has never done it which is crazy to me. He is still the most incredible singer so one day I think he should do it.”
The How Do You Sleep? hitmaker also reckons bookies favourite Dua Lipa has the ability to emulate the success Madonna had with her 007 song Die Another Day, which saw Madge also make an appearance in the film!

Sam made headlines by strutting his stuff in a pair of Gucci heels at the GQ Awards – and now can’t wait to wear stilettoes.
He told Hits Radio: “I’m starting to wear heels in my own time like going to the shops and going to parties, and it’s really amazing, I just feel more like myself in them.
“The heels are only going to get higher now.”
