Simon Cowell in ‘difficult position after Piers and Sharon quit TV shows’
Simon Cowell is in a “difficult” position over his friendships with Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne after they both quit TV shows this month, says his ex Sinitta.
Simon’s two pals, Piers and Sharon, both sensationally quit as presenters of Good Morning Britain and The Talk, respectively after alleged racial tensions rose following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive Oprah interview.
Piers quit Good Morning Britain earlier this month after refusing to apologise for his comments on Meghan, saying he did not believe her when she said she was suicidal or her allegations of racism in the Royal Family.
The 55-year-old host rowed on-air with co-presenter Alex Beresford about his opinions on the Duchess of Sussex leading to Piers storming off set live on TV.
68-year-old Sharon then followed his lead after she defended pal Piers on the Talk, which caused a clash with co-star Sheryl Underwood and ended with Sharon also quitting following the show taking a two-week hiatus.
She asked Sheryl to ‘educate’ her on ‘when you have heard him [Piers] say racist things’, while her co-star responded: "It is not the exact words of racism, it’s the implication and the reaction to it."

Sinitta now says that this has left Simon in a difficult position as he has worked with both in the past.
The 61-year-old chose Piers as a judge on America’s Got Talent in 2006 and Britain’s Got Talent until 2010.
He also had Sharon as a judge on The X Factor between 2008 and 2018.
Sinitta says that she does not feel that he will want to have either television presenter back again.
Speaking to the Metro she explained: " ‘I know Sharon and Piers. These people have been his friends for years. But (Prince) Harry is also a friend of Simon’s.
“I think Simon would be in a difficult position because he won’t stand for and he doesn't support any form of racism.
‘He’s also friends with Harry and he’s also against bullying, so what is he going to do? What can he do?’

Piers has previously spoken of wanting to return to the Britain’s Got Talent panel after leaving Good Morning Britain.
But Sinitta said: “I think it could be tricky for him if he were planning to work with them."
"I know it will be hard because he wants to stand up for what he believes in, but he's also a very loyal friend."
