Zayn Malik appears to have joined a plus-size dating app that aims to match users with "big beautiful women" following on from his break-up with the supermodel and mother of his one-year-old, Gigi Hadid.

After his shocking split from Gigi in October, Zayn has been linked to the plus-size dating app WooPlus, teasing that he might have a new preference for a woman with more curves.

The dating app, which says it is for "all people who love plus-size singles", uses facial recognition technology to help verify app users.

In one clip leaked on social media, Zayn is seen taking part in an emoji challenge and making funny faces – leaving many fans believing he desires his next partner to be plus-size.

Zayn's dating resumé includes Gigi, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards and former model Neelam Gill, but the star has previously teased he has a special preference for ladies who have a more curvaceous body.

Back in 2016, the number one hit-maker said: "I like girls that are a bit chunky in certain areas — the nice areas.

"I like a fuller woman."

Zayn and Gigi called it quits back in October after six years of on-off dating. They welcomed their one-year-old daughter Khai in September 2020.

A friend of the couple said: "The two have been co-parenting, but they are not together. They tried to make things work for their daughter, but it wasn't working out."

Their first breakup happened in March 2018 after nearly two-and-a-half years of dating and they reconciled a month later in April 2018. The celebrity pair kept their relationship very private and typically off social media.

29-year-old Bradford born Zayn was previously named one of the UK's top ten most eligible bachelors and is reported to have a fortune and impressive net worth of £47 million.

He's most notoriously known for being in the chart-topping band One Direction which sold 70 million records worldwide after forming in 2010, signing to Simon Cowell's Syco Records label following an appearance on The X Factor.

Zayn quit the group six months before they announced their "indefinite hiatus" in 2016 and went on to live a quieter life out of the spotlight.

Zayn and Gigi first began dating in the Autumn of 2015.
