And Just Like That: Who is Carrie Bradshaw’s new hunk? Meet Thomas Canestraro
And Just Like That…has almost arrived with the Sex and the City reboot ready to begin on Thursday, December 9, on Sky Comedy, HBO Max and NOW streaming service. HBO announced there would be a new series in January 2021 with filming starting to take place shortly after. While on set, one particular new face stood out as he was seen carrying actress Sarah Jessica Parker in his arms.
Fans from across the world have been excited to see the famous group of friends get back together since the start of the year.
While filming was underway in New York, press surrounded the area and caught a glimpse of Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw being cradled in the arms of a man in a tight blue bakery uniform.
The mysterious man was seen carrying Carrie up the iconic steps leading up to her apartment and viewers have been keen to find out who this is.
Express.co.uk got to speak to the man himself about his time on the Sex and the City reboot.

Carrie’s mystery baker is played by French 35-year-old actor Thomas Canestraro.
He has worked as a stunt actor, appearing in The Expendables 3, Ray Donovan, Gotham, Days of Our Lives and Above the Shadows.
Since 2014, he has featured in The Haves and the Have Nots as a character called Marco.
While Canestraro remained pretty tight-lipped about his character’s role in And Just Like That… he does tease that it involves a stunt.
Canestraro told Express.co.uk: “How I got the role was pretty interesting because they were looking for a stunt [actor] originally and I cannot talk too much about it but as you can see, I’m carrying SJP.
“And I was driving a van so they wanted to make sure it was someone reliable.
“I was already cast for something else in Sex and the City but since they really needed me for that [I was given that role instead].
“The acting world, you keep auditioning, crossing your fingers and you don’t know what’s coming, when is it coming.
“So when I got it, it was like ‘finally, finally something, something good. Finally something juicy’.”

Prior to joining the world of acting, Canestraro was involved in a very different form of entertainment.
The actor is a two-time Kickboxing World Champion, winning the prestigious title among several other professional fighting competitions.
He has been fighting since he was six years old but turned to acting and modelling back in 2014.
What Canestraro didn’t expect was the hype when the pictures of him carrying Parker were shared.
He added: “When you get a role you don’t really know what it is going to look like but being on location, even going into the building, it felt really unique.
“What was great was that it felt like nobody treated me like an outcast, I was really treated appropriately and welcomed and it was really warming.
“I wasn’t ready for all of that [with the media]. With the costume that I’m wearing, the scene is right outside of her front door so it was already a big moment”.
And Just Like That… premieres on HBO Max, Sky Comedy and NOW streaming service on Thursday, December 9 in the US and UK.
