All Star Musicals returned for Boxing Day with John Barrowman on hosting duties while Elaine Paige helped to mentor the stars. Ben Miller was just one of the celebrities taking part alongside Fern Britton and Catherine Tyldesley. He took on the role of Riff Raff from The Rocky Horror Show.

Fans were delighted to see the former Death in Paradise star transform for the show.

He looked completely different as he sported pale make up and a balding wig.

However, as he began his performance of Time Warp, fans took to Twitter to share the same complaint.

Kelly Crumpton posted: “Kind of disappointed they’re not actually doing the time warp dance #AllStarMusicals.”

@Nix5020 added: “Ben Miller doing the timewarp without actually dancing one step of the time warp
@LookTheresDan continued: “THEY’RE NOT EVEN DOING THE RIGHT TIMEWARP DANCE. What is this shit? #allstarmusicals.”
Tim Croall tweeted: “For copyright reasons they can’t use the Time Warp moves we all know? #allstarmusicals.”
Cameron Clark demanded to know: “Where’s the bleedin choreography?????? #AllStarMusicals.”

However, not everyone was disappointed as some fans claimed Ben was made for the role of Riff Raff.

Emily Apricot shared: “I would pay good money to see Ben Miller as Riff Raff in Rocky Horror #AllStarMusicals.”
Jayne Darling posted: “#allstarmusicals #benmiller doing a great job as Riff Raff. Top marks for costume and makeup as well.”

Speaking ahead of his performance, Ben said he was “delighted” to be given the chance to take part on the show.

He told Radio Times: “I’ve just loved the whole experience.

“What really attracted me to doing it as a show was the fact we would get training. Quite serious vocal and dancing training.”

The Bridgerton actor added: “I got to fulfil a wish… I just love that musical. It was one of the first I ever saw and I just remember being so mesmerised by it.

“Goodness me, I absolutely loved it, but obviously it’s not for the faint-hearted.”

Meanwhile, Catherine left Elaine Paige in tears with her Cats performance.

The former Coronation Street star performed Memory from the musical which Elaine is famous for.

Elsewhere, Fern took on Mamma Mia! While Radzi Chinyanganya performed a song from Moana, and Gyles Brandreth did a number from My Fair Lady.

All Star Musicals is available to watch on ITV Hub.
