Bob Odenkirk update – Better Call Saul actor reveals he 'had a heart attack' and was treated 'without surgery'

BOB Odenkirk revealed on Friday that he "had a heart attack" and says doctors have treated him "without surgery."

The Better Call Saul actor wrote to Twitter: "I had a small heart attack.

"But I'm going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery."

Admitting that he still needs to recover, Odenkirk continued: "Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level.

"I'm going to take a beat to recover but I'll be back soon."

The 58-year-old actor's tweet comes two days after his son Nate said that his dad was "going to be OK."

    In an Instagram post, of a photo of himself and Odenkirk, Bryan Cranston wrote:

    "Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning.

    Cranston said Odenkirk was in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving medical attention.

    In a Wednesday statement, AMC said: "Bob is someone we have known and been lucky enough to work with for a long time.

    "The immediate outpouring of affection and concern from fans around the world is a clear reflection of his immense talents and ability to both move and entertain people.

    "Like everyone else, we are so grateful to know he is in stable condition and receiving excellent care.

    "We are holding him close in our thoughts and wishing for a fast and full recovery."

    Odenkirk collapsed on the Albuquerque set "where the 'Breaking Bad' spin-off is shooting its sixth and final season," the Associated Press reports.

    After the collapse, Odenkirk, 58, was rush to a nearby hospital.

    Odenkirk's representatives said Wednesday: "We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart related incident.

    "He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side.

    "The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery."

    Amber Tamblyn, who is married to comedian David Cross, shared an update on Bob Odenkirk.

    The actor is best known for playing attorney Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad, which aired on AMC from 2008-2013.

    Bob went on to receive his own spinoff with Better Call Saul, which premiered on the network in 2015.

    The popular series is currently shooting its sixth and final season.

    BOB ODENKIRK’S MEMOIR IS DUE TO BE PUBLISHED IN JANUARY

    The Better Call Saul’s debut is expected to hit the shelves in January.

    Its publisher Penguin Random House has described the memoir as “a “Homeric” decades-long “Odyssey” from his origins in the seedy comedy clubs of Chicago to a dramatic career full of award nominations”.

    The book, called Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama, will also chronicle his years as a successful comedy writer, his break into mainstream culture as Saul Goodman, and his “baffling” middle-age detour into being an action hero.
