Bradley Walsh scolds The Chase player as she nearly exposes answer early

Bradley Walsh told a contestant off during Friday's episode of The Chase as she nearly let slip her chosen answer too early.

The question was: "In what film does Helen Hunt play the love interest of Tom Hanks' character?"

The options given were Cast Away, Big, or Forrest Gump.

After selecting Forrest Gump, the player named Storme said "I've gone for…"

"Don't tell me what you've gone for", Bradley scolded, before jokingly asking her again what answer she had chosen.

He quipped: "What did you go for?"

She began to say her answer again, before Bradley teased her and said she couldn't reveal it yet.

The correct answer was in fact Cast Away, so Storme answered incorrectly.

Despite her mishap, she made it through to the final round against Chaser Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace.

Her teammate Moon also made it through, and the two contestants were playing for a staggering £27,000.

They managed to gain an impressive 18 step lead against Shaun, and even secured some push-backs.

However, it wasn't enough to beat Shaun as he caught them with just seven seconds to spare.

Viewers were gutted for the team as they were so close to winning the cash.

One fan tweeted: "Good game. Unlucky ladies, well played Shaun."

While another wrote: "Good Timing. 7 Seconds. Clever how it's done."

"Oh damn! They really needed 20 didn’t they? Unlucky. They played really well though", penned a third.

Shaun Wallace remarked it was "very very unlucky" that the ladies lost, before he added: "It's just another day at the office."

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
