Clarkson’s Farm has been airing on Amazon Prime Video and fans have fallen in love with the quirky characters helping Jeremy Clarkson. Farm manager Kaleb Cooper and head of security Gerald Cooper have proven to be firm favourites. Are Gerald and Kaleb related? How do they know each other?
How do Gerald and Kaleb Cooper know each other?
Clarkson’s Farm has gained a loyal fanbase since it started airing on Amazon Prime Video and the series follows presenter Clarkson on his 1,000-acre farm.
He took over the running of the Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton recently, and he opened up about the challenges he faced.
Thankfully he had people on hand to set him on the right path, including young farm manager, Kaleb Cooper.
Kaleb, 22, became a fan-favourite as he was not afraid to stand up to Clarkson and put him in his place when he made a mistake.
The married father-of-one was there to fix all the problems that arose when Clarkson thought he knew best.
Another popular contributor was Gerald Cooper, who had worked on the farm for many years.
He was appointed ‘head of security’ and could often be seen fixing walls surrounding the expanse of land.
Fans fell in love with the banter between Gerald and Clarkson, and they are keen to find out more about him.
One popular question is whether Kaleb and Gerald, who share the same surname, are related.
Kaleb confirmed on his Instagram account he was not related to Gerald, after all.
When one fan asked if the pair were related, he replied saying he was “no relation” and another fan went on to say they were “like twins”.
With this in mind, it seems the surname is purely a coincidence and the pair know each other through their jobs on the farm.
Kaleb now has more than 250,000 followers on Instagram and he has been keeping them up to date with his latest ventures.
Known for being apprehensive about leaving his hometown, he shared an update on his trip to Stratford with his partner.
He said: “OK very nervous but the other half has taken me to Stratford for the night. No word of a lie but I’m s******* it.”
In the series, he was seen taking a trip into London to sell some wasabi to restaurants.
He was terrified as he had only ever left the town once on a school trip and stayed on the coach the entire time.
Kaleb and Gerald have had fans in stitches and they have already called for the stars to feature in their own series.
Speaking of Gerald, Clarkson said: “It doesn’t matter if you can’t understand what he’s talking about, because he’s usually talking about Manchester United. He’s fantastic. We’ve known each other for a very long time.
“He’s 72, also never been outside the village, but has worked on this farm for 50 years. He’s a great dry stone-waller, which is a dying art.”
The incomprehensible dry stone waller quickly became a fan-favourite and viewers enjoyed seeing him at work.
Clarkson was equally as animated when speaking about manager Kaleb, and he remains in awe of the highly experienced farmer.
In response to Kaleb’s Instagram post about his Stratford trip, Clarkson said: “It’s quieter than Diddly Squat today. You’ve beaten Shakespeare in the popularity stakes.”
One fan commented: “Great fun 2 see you & Jeremy 2gether, I loved the show. Enjoy your weekend away.” [Sic]
Viewers are hoping Gerald and Kaleb will feature in a second season of Clarkson’s Farm and their relationship will be explored further.
Clarkson’s Farm is airing on Amazon Prime Video now.
