Although the fourth season of Netflix’s beloved martial-arts series may have just ended, Cobra Kai fans are eagerly awaiting season five. Thankfully, the show’s executive producer Hayden Schlossberg took to social media and shared a huge teaser.

The season finale of Cobra Kai came to an unexpected end with the arrest of John Kreese (played by Martin Kove) after being double-crossed by Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith).

He was arrested for the attack against Stingray, which will undoubtedly force him out of Cobra Kai and the expansion, which was planned to take place after the tournament.

This meant Terry was officially in charge of Cobra Kai, as the latest threat, he didn’t seem to have an obvious weakness.

With viewers left surprised and anxiously waiting for season five, the major hint could predict what the new season could bring.

Taking to Twitter, showrunner Hayden wrote: “Cobra Kai Season five answers the long asked question– what would have happened had Daniel lost at the end of Karate Kid Part three? Nerds of the Valley, be afraid.”

In the finale, Terry made it clear nothing would stand in the way of his budding empire and its expansion in the Valley.

His obsession with power and ability to manipulate people is a major threat and he will clearly get rid of anything or anyone who would try and stop him dominating the competition.

Fans will also remember, due to his and Kreese’s bet over the All-Valley tournament, Miyagi-Do is no longer a functioning dojo, which made the situation even more challenging.

This means Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Maccio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) will have their work cut out for them in season five, as it will be up to them to take Terry down.

Thankfully, the cliffhanger finale also highlighted that the two are able to call on Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto) for assistance.

However, Johnny had problems of his own, he had been trying to locate Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) who had fled to Mexico to find his estranged father.

Despite this, fans are intrigued to find out what would’ve happened if Daniel had lost the tournament in Karate Kid part three.

Before joining Cobra Kai, Daniel found himself in the middle of an evil plot by Terry.

It started when Mr Miyagi (Noriyuki “Pat” Morita) refused to let Daniel defend his All Valley Karate Championship.

So, Terry pretended to be a helpful stranger and gradually won the trust of the frustrated Daniel, which led him to join Cobra Kai behind Miyagi’s back.

After he discovered it was a deception which Terry and John set up, for him to fight and lose against Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan).

Thankfully, Mr Miyagi came to Daniel’s rescue and trained him to win the tournament once again and upset Cobra Kai.

With Daniel’s defeat hinted to be explored, fans responded to Hayden and shared their excitement as Kerry_047 responded: “This is insane. I’m still trying to digest what I saw in S4.”

Thankfully for fans, season five had been confirmed before the release of the recent installment and production for it has ended.

Although a release date has yet to be announced, will be updated with new information.
