Kelly (played by Millie Gibson) and Corey (Maximus Evans) are both facing murder charges after the vicious attack which caused Seb Franklin’s (Harry Visinoni) death. Coronation Street bosses have now revealed Seb’s killer will be sentenced next week following a tense trial. So who will go down for murder?

Kelly has had a tough time in Weatherfield with her father Rick Neelan mysteriously disappearing, and her mother Laura (Kel Allen) barely being around to take care of her.

Before she was involved in Seb’s attack, Kelly was taken in by Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).

However, while Imran is fighting for Kelly in court, Toyah is struggling to stand by her side, as she feels bad for Seb’s mother Abi Franklin (Sally Carman).

Kelly has few supporters and it’s likely she will spend time in prison for Seb’s death, especially given that Corey has an expensive legal team behind him.

In episodes set to air next week, Kelly will take her turn on the stand to give evidence to the jury.

The teenager will tell the court how Corey attacked Seb and kicked him repeatedly despite her pleading with him to stop.

However, Sabeen Habeeb (Zora Bishop), the barrister representing Corey Brent, will suggest Kelly attacked Seb in order to impress Corey.

So who will the jury believe?

Kelly’s mother Laura then takes the stand to insist that her daughter would never have hurt or killed Seb.

Laura is eager to show support for Kelly, but only time will tell if she has done enough to clear her daughter’s name.

Later on, the tumultuous trial comes to an end, with Sabeen and Imran both delivering their closing statements to the courtroom.

However, Seb’s mother Abi yells out at the jury in despair, begging them not to believe Corey.

With the jury out, Imran is still fighting to prove Kelly’s innocence, while Abi is desperate to unmask Corey for his crimes.

In scenes set to air next week, Abi tries to find some hard proof that Corey’s dad Stefan (Paul Opacic) was bribed as a witness during the trial.

Abi seems to think Stefan has been bribing the witnesses because his family “has money on their side”.

Will Abi be able to expose Stefan’s sneaky tactics, or will he follow in his son’s footsteps and attack her in a bid to keep the grieving mum quiet?

Later in the week, the verdict comes in following the heated trial – and Weatherfield is stunned by the result.

Meanwhile, some shocking news from prison gets out, which will be revealed in an upcoming episode.

So who will be found guilty of murdering Seb and how long will their sentence be?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on ITV1.
