Eamonn Holmes says he’d prefer biscuits as I’m A Celeb’s Jessica cries over mug

Eamonn Holmes has confessed he's not sure whether he'd prefer to have a packet of custard creams or a photo of his children if he entered the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp.

In Thursday night's episode, Ruthie Henshall and Russell Watson won everyone's luxury items after a series of secret trials.

And former EastEnders star Jessica Plummer burst into tears after getting hers, as it was a mug with a photo of her daughter Noa on.

But speaking to Vick Hope on Friday's The Daily Drop, This Morning host Eamonn joked he's not sure he'd have liked that luxury item.

However Ferne McCann, who is mother to daughter Sunday, clearly sympathised with Jessica, especially having been through the I'm A Celeb process, albeit before she was a mum.

She said: "When she said she's perfect, I think seeing your child's face…"

But Eamonn interjected: "Seeing your child's face or a packet of custard creams… it's a close one! It's a close one."

Jessica had said through tears: "As soon as I heard the word luxury item I knew what my luxury item was.

"Take all the custard creams away, she's perfect."

All the talk of custard creams came after Beverley Callard and Shane Richie took on the daily trial to win a treat for camp.

However as part of their secret mission, Ruthie and Russell had to persuade everyone to answer the question wrong – and it took barely any work.

Kiosk Cledwyn asked campmates about Shakespeare's birth name and while the answer was surely William – which it was – Russell managed to convince them to go for the wrong answer.

The camp had been gutted to miss out on the biscuits, however their frowns soon turned upside down when they were given their luxury items.

As well as Jessica's mug, some of the other items were hair curling foam for AJ Pritchard, a pillow for Russell and a listen to S Club 7's Reach for Giovanna Fletcher.
