EastEnders fans left baffled by ‘bizarre’ slow motion editing in Denise scene

EastEnders fans were distracted by the editing during Thursday's episode as Lucas Johnson and Denise Fox had a dramatic showdown.

Lucas was supposed to be going on holiday with his daughter Chelsea, but he decided against it.

Chelsea was left disappointed as Lucas failed to turn up on time and they missed their flight.

Denise went to see him and called him out for letting Chelsea down once again while bringing up his past villainous antics.

Her remarks led to Lucas smashing a glass in rage as the character left Denise terrified.

Viewers were distracted as the scenes included some intense sound effects and Denise talking to him in slow motion.

One viewer tweeted: "What was with that slow-motion distorted voice effect."

While another penned: "That was intense!"

A third added: "OMG I'm cackling at Denise and her slow-motion mouth."

"I'm screaming at this editing," said another.

The end of the jaw-dropping episode saw Denise seemingly go missing and fans were left wondering where she and Lucas were.

Chelsea discovered Denise's necklace left behind as Jack Branning said: "What's he done to her?"

Fans will have to wait and see if Denise is okay, but many viewers are already concerned for the character.

One viewer tweeted: "Please let Denise be ok."

While another said: "Just want Denise back!"

"Well won't be forgetting that ending in a while. Hope Denise is ok", remarked a third.
