EastEnders’ Luisa Bradshaw-White rushed to hospital after on-set knife accident

EastEnders actress Luisa Bradshaw-White revealed she was rushed to A&E while filming for the BBC soap after she put her hand "through" some prop knives.

Her character Tina Carter has been having a lot of scenes with Gray Atkins (played by Toby-Alexander Smith) and was seen putting knives in the dishwasher, just as Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) had.

Chantelle died after being pushed by Gray and falling onto the upturned knives, putting the fear into fans that Tina could face the same fate.

One EastEnders viewer tweeted: "I have so much fear for Tina right now, not the f***ing knives."

Luisa, who is leaving the soap, quote tweeted and added: "I actually put my hand through them and had to be rushed to A&E whilst the whole crew stood down."

She added: "There was a lot of blood!"

Before joking that "tequila sorts everything".

Viewers have been fearing that the knives could lead to Tina's downfall like Chantelle's.

In a recent episode, Gray told Tina to put the knives in the dishwasher blade-up, echoing something he'd told Chantelle before her death.

And in Boxing Day's episode, Tina confronted him and accused him of murdering Chantelle – which viewers know he did.

"People like you, I see you," she said. "She was terrified of her own husband, and now you're terrified of me because I'm on to you."

She went on: "I see you Gray and she saw it too, didn't she?

"That night, there, right here in this kitchen, she finally found the strength, finally sopped pretending you would ever change. It wasn't an accident, was it?"

Tina added: "You killed her. You murdered your wife."

Viewers now fear Gray will kill Tina – especially considering it was previously revealed that actress Luisa would be leaving the soap.

One tweeted: "I'm also not sure why people are cheering Tina because he's clearly gonna off her."

Another said: "If you get Gray to kill Tina then it makes a mockery of the domestic violence storyline! Don't kill Tina!"

And a third added: "I wonder if that's the way we'll see of Tina. On Monday she'll have 'disappeared' with Gray pretending she's run away."
