Emmerdale spoilers: Charity Dingle devastated by Vanessa Woodfield bombshell

CHARITY Dingle is left heartbroken by a huge revelation about her ex-fiancée Vanessa Woodfield next week in Emmerdale.

Vanessa left the Dales in May last year after she was diagnosed with bowel cancer in a heartbreaking storyline.

There was good news later in the year as the vet revealed that she was cancer free.

However, during Vanessa’s absence from the villager, Charity managed to sabotage their relationship by cheating on her with newcomer Mackenzie Boyd.

When Vanessa discovered Charity’s shocking betrayal, she dumped her and decided to stay away from the village.

Next week, alcoholic Liv is horrified to wake up with bruises on her arm and no recollection of the night before after turning to booze yet again.

Aaron returns and explains he found her in the doorway last night.

Liv struggles with disorientating flashbacks and is later sickened when she finally remembers it was Noah who she was fighting with the previous evening.

Liv confides in Gabby and is stunned when the youngster mentions her confrontation with him and says they might be dealing with the aftermath of rape.

Aaron walks in on their discussion and storms over to confront Noah.

When he returns, he urges Liv to report Noah to the police, but what will Liv decide?

The following day, Charity does some digging to see if there is another side to the story.

Emmerdale bosses have teased that Charity is in for another shock later in the week when she discovers that her ex Vanessa has a new girlfriend.

Are Charity and Vanessa over for good?

Actress Michelle Harwick recently teased her return to the soap.

Responding to her co-star Dominic Brunt, who plays Paddy Kirk, the actress joked that she was already worrying about trying to learn her lines.

Dominic’s tweet featured a meme showing a man trying to nail down the tide to the beach.

He said: "True representation of me trying to make Emmerdale scripts stick in my head after time off."

Michelle, who clearly relates, said: “I’m already having anxiety dreams.”

Vanessa’s exit last year facilitated actress Michelle’s maternity leave.

The star welcomed a baby boy with her wife Kate Brooks in October 2020.

She announced the happy news on social media, writing on Instagram: "On Friday 9th October, this handsome little chap entered the world."

She added: "Edward 'Teddy' Peter Brooks we are so in love with you #ourlittleTeddyboy."
