Faye plans to let Emma take the fall for Ted's death in Corrie

Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) has told Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) she’s on her own if the police start investigating Ted’s death in Coronation Street.

During last night’s episode, learner driver Faye and Emma were returning home after a New Year’s Eve party.

A little worse for wear and not really paying full attention to the road, Faye hit old man Ted, knocking him to the floor.

Initially, Ted was fine, but when Emma and Faye returned to his flat, they found him dead in his armchair.

Now we all know Emma, lying to the police and covering up a death is something she is already struggling to deal with.

Panicking about Ted, Emma entered a phone box and called the police, pretending to be a concerned neighbour and letting the emergency services know she hasn’t seen Ted for a few days.

Faye’s attempt at keeping her cool was destroyed when Emma told her she had called the police.

Aware of how things could pan out, Faye told Emma that if the police trace the call or spot her on CCTV, the truth will come out.

Following her stint in prison, Faye told Emma she can’t return there and if the police identify her, she’s on her own.

Emma was horrified, but will the police track her down?

Are they both about to face serious consequences, or will Faye leave Emma to take the fall?
